In 2007, Bishop-McCann celebrated 10 successful years delivering world class meeting
and incentive travel management services based on a unique vision and approach.
Using his experience in sales, marketing and account management in the pharmaceutical, advertising and medical communications industries, Dan Nilsen founded Bishop-McCann. During this time, Dan came to realize the value that corporate events offer and the unique challenge they present. Meetings provide a break from the normal course of business and should
be memorable. They are also an effective medium for launching products, sharing best practices and for training. And, incentive travel can be a powerful motivational tool. However, meetings and events are also serious business, requiring investments of money and time away from customers and normal priorities. Just as a successful event can achieve many positive results, an unsuccessful one can have a serious negative impact. Each year companies have only a few opportunities to make an impact with meetings and incentive programs before budgets are spent, sales representatives return to the field and the business impact is measured.
Under the realization that successful meetings are achieved through substantial planning and a total commitment to quality and professionalism, Dan came to the understanding that you must Plan for Anything. Nothing less would deliver the level of impact that was absolutely essential. Yet, he found no meeting services partner in the marketplace that committed to this approach.
